Administrators
Institutes: Each summer we offer Institutes lasting one to four weeks in which teacher/consultants provide intensive classes in theory and best practices in the teaching of reading and writing. Course credit is available.
Workshops: Each workshop is based on established theories of well-known professionals in the field of teaching writing and reading to students K-12. Presenters are teachers who have completed the requirements of the Invitational Summer Workshop.
Faculty Meetings: These meetings accomplish one of two objectives; they provide staff with a preview of an upcoming workshop or hey provide opportunity for teachers to reflect on a workshop they have attended.
Lesson Modeling: CWP presenters will model lessons and meet with teachers to discuss what was done and why.
Coaching: CWP presenters work in classrooms to assist teachers in implementing what has been demonstrated in a workshop.
Administrative Meetings: Presenters meet with school administrators to discuss what has been presented and what direction needs to be taken for future work.
