I learned that characters are the things that make your story. I think I had already been explaining my characters out of common sense but now I know it is very important or else your piece of literature isn’t very good. I also learned I am very good at writing emotional pieces I haven’t yet discovered why my realistic fiction is more appealing then my fantasy but I hope to sometime learn that.

Its 1994
I open my eyes
I see
A bunny mobile
Wooden bars that keep me captive
I’m frightened
I cry
I see
My mother picks me up
I am free
I watch
As the cherry wood bars disappear
I hold
My mother’s hand down the stairs
I eat
The sweet silver dollar pancakes
Because I’m only two
I wait
To get out of the tall chair against the wall
I’m dependant on everyone else
Because I’m only two

Wasted By Water

Rain pelting down
On the door
Watching you drown
Even more
I can’t seem to get it right
We lie down
I hold you tight
And all these things around me
And all these things I cannot see
Float down a river
That drowns you and me
I’m falling under
You’re watching me drown
You’re falling under
I watch you go down
Now I see
There’s something in me
That you can see too
I can’t see you
You fell too deep
I cannot keep
You up anymore
We fall down a waterfall of hopes and dreams
We find nothing and float down the streams
You wash away from my head
Because now I see all hope is dead
